Aite Tamang is a man who loves to run. 2012 was a great year for him with his first two foreign trips to Hong Kong and Malaysia taking 2nd place in two major events behind two of the world’s best known trail runners. Aite was trained and supported by Ramesh Bhattachan in Pokhara, the organiser of the Annapurna 100 without sponsors or other financial assistance, no special coaching or other advice, no fancy shoes or equipment. Just discipline, determination and a lot of dal bhat.
Since then Aite has gone from strength to strength culminating in a 13th position in the UTMB in 2013 with the help of Luke, Natalia and Dawa.
