Single tree to Gurje Bhanjyang

Trail Description

Single Tree is located 3 km northwest of Swyambhunath Temple. After just a kilometer run, we will start a continuous uphill climb of about 4.5 Km in which we will gain about 900 meters of elevation. Since we will enter the Nagarjun National Park to reach the top of Jamacho Gumba Peak, there will be no shops available, so please carry at least 2 liters of water from the start. Once you make it to the top of Jamacho Peak, you will have a beautiful view of the Kathmandu Valley down below and a majestic morning view of the Himalayas on the horizon. And now a long downhill forest run will be waiting for you until you reach Mudkhu. After a few km will be very exposed to the sun, and there are a few steep climbs as well. Once you cross at Tarekeshwar Temple, you will enter Shivapuri National Park and will be running through the dense forest again. After that, we will have our transportation ready to take us back to Kathmandu.
