Yes it can be done! And why not. There are tea-houses all the way, you just need running gear, some dry evening gear, a light pack and off you go!

I think both the girls and Ian Leitch ran the loop in about 6 days – something most trekkers normally do in about 17+. Travelling light means travelling fast. While it means you could get yourself into great trouble with altitude by ascending too quickly, the payoff is that you can get up and over the huge Thorung La (5400 m) quickly without spending a night too high up. But just be careful if you try this will you?
