Dawa Dachhiri Sherpa Olympic Athlete & ward winner trails runner & The Small World, a non-profit charity, invites women from all over the world to participate in the first of its kind sports event ever held in Nepal – the First International Women’s Trail Race! The race will take place from February 1st to 8th, 2020, to be followed on the 9th and 10th by a Women’s Conference and an opportunity to observe an authentic Sherpa wedding before the return to Kathmandu.
This First International Women’s Trail Race will take place in the Everest region of lower Solukhumbu. We will be running an average of 12-15 km every day. During the race, our highest point will be 3800 meters at Pikey Peak, and within our views will be Everest and many peaks over 8,000 meters, including a spectacular peak of 7,961 just in front of us.
DAY TO DAY ITINERARY:
Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu Meeting and assistance by our representative then transfer to overnight at the hotel.
Day 02: Breakfast at the hotel. Half day sightseeing tour of Patan City. Half day sightseeing tour of Kathmandu City and Swayambudinath, one of the holiest Buddhist Chaityas in Nepal. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Dhap over night in tea house
Day 4: Trail race inauguration in Dhap and race to Pikey base camp
Day 5: Race to Junbeshi, beautiful Sherpa village
Day 6: Race to Salleri over night at The Small World project ,meeting with girls and children
Day 7: Race to Mera Monastery , over night stay in Monastery Guest House
Day 8: Race to Nunthala via Khastav, Phuleli and over night in Nunthala
Day 9: Race to Takisndu via Chulemu Sherpa village
