Kathmandu, February 26. Nepali ultra runner Priya Rai has won a gold medal at the Kalaw Ultra Trail Run in Myanmar.
She won gold in the 50 km event at the Kalaw Ultra Trail Run held in Kalaw, Myanmar, on Saturday.
Priya completed the stipulated distance in 5 hours 38 minutes 39 seconds. Priya has set another record by winning gold along with the course record.
Myanmar’s Myint Myint Aye Phrom won silver and Htwe Nyini Ngal won bronze.
Myint Myint completed the distance in 6 hours 11 minutes 16 seconds, while Nyani Angle completed the distance in 7 hours 55 minutes 26 seconds.
Priya Rai has been consistently competing in international ultra races and winning titles in recent times. She regularly competes in ultra trail races at national and international levels.
Priya is also the champion of Asia Trail Masters (ATM) 2025.
Priya, from Ainselukharka Rural Municipality in Khotang, was selected for the Asia Trail Masters by winning the Manjushree Trail and Jumla Rara Ultra Marathon in Nepal last year.
