We mentioned in our pre-race information for the Annapurna 100 race that it would be a great idea to spend a little bit more time here after the race as there is so much to do.

So, what did this years international competitors do?

Lizzy Hawker went and walked the Annapurna Circuit, from Besi Sahar to Birethanti (all 247-ish km) in a mere five days. Did she run? “No, well only a little bit to Marpha when it was getting dark and I really wanted to get warm.”

Riyochi from Japan walked up to Annapurna base camp also in five days. Pranjal from Slovenia and Nitish from Netherlands did the same.

Michael Maddess and Claire Price from Hong Kong spent 3 days before the event slowly walking and enjoying the 70 km course.

Panu from Finland and John from Australia flew up to Jomosom and spent nearly 10 days weeks exploring lower Mustang.

Some of the rest of us just spent a few days enjoying the lake side and visiting the peace pagoda to enjoy the view.
