Lizzy Hawker is right now in Kathmandu and looking forward to getting out into the mountains. She is looking forward to doing what she does best, which is simply moving at her own preferred pace (quick) through high mountains.

From 11th October she will be on the trails of East Nepal, heading up towards Kanchenjunga base camp. From there she will head west along the GHT route.

Lizzy wrote a summary about her trip for The North Face website. Download the Sky Dance – October 2011 PDF.

Lizzy is raising money for CAN, an organisation founded by mountaineer Doug Scott in the UK. You can make a donation here on the Just Giving website.

You can track Lizzy’s progress on SPOT – though at the time of writing it only shows her hotel room at the Summit! Click below!

Lizzy says thanks to:

The North Face for supporting me in this expedition and making this journey possible, Thamserku Trekking Ltd for helping with logistical support. Also Shawn Forry, Justin Lichter, Robin Bousted, Jamie McGuiness and Roger Henke for their advice.

Good luck Lizzy!
