This stage race has 9 stages totalling 200 km, 11,000 m up, 7,000 m down. It starts in Dolakha and heads through the Rolwaling valley and crosses the Tashi Lapsa (a pass of some reputation at 5,755 m) before going on to cross the three-passes (Renjo La 5,340 m, Gokyo La / Ri 5,350 m, le Cho La 5,420 m), scaling Kala Pattar (5,540 m) and finally arriving at Ama Dablam basecamp at 4,700 m.
