From Nov 3rd to 5th 2012.
“In the beautiful and stunning part of Central Nepal with views of Manasalu and Ganesh Himal and a touch of the Annapurna range. Note course will not be disclosed and distances each day subject to small changes but close to this estimate.”
Sounds like a fun event and it got a great feedback last year. Not too sure about the “bringing books” part of the CSR aspect.
The Action Asia Foundation is interested in raising money for the purchase of school supplies that are needed in close by village areas. Whether it is a donation of US$ 5 or US$ 100, all donations are welcome but not mandatory. A sponsorship pledge form will be sent by email to confirmed participants and put on the site. We’re also looking at a way to do more and will discuss this with different organizations for CSR ideas and welcome input. We also encourage ALL to bring English school books for ages 4-10 that we will give out to schools.
It’s a great idea in concept, but be aware that there are several companies producing low-cost, good quality books that are carefully designed and written for Nepalese school children. Much better to buy here that to bring from abroad.
