Next April, the legendary Dawa Dachhiri Sherpa is organising a 12 stage trail race from Kathmandu, passing Gosaikund on the Langtang/Helambu circuit, heading west through Tamang Heritage Trail country and then onto the Manaslu Circuit Trekking route proper.
The route crosses passes including 4600m Laurebina La and the 5135m Larkya La close to the world’s 8th highest peak – Manaslu. The route begins at the famous Bodnath Stupa in Bouddha Kathmandu. Participants can expect an average daily race length of 34km with about 1000m climb.
This should be a great experience for all participants as it passes through many relatively untrekked areas. Also great to begin directly in Kathmandu starting at Boudha.
Cost: 1900€ including everything from Kathmandu Airport until Departure.
See more about the area on this Manaslu trek information website.
