2011.08.14-21 – Globeracers’ Himalaya Xtreme 2011

It’s a 250km points based challenge. It’s long, but a runner’s route.

We take you to unpolluted and pristine mountain ranges, namely the Great Himalayan range, sandwiched between the Zanskar Range and the Lahaul Range. Baralacha La is the only pass where two rivers on each side of the pass, flow in to Pakistan, one of which is the Chandra River. Mountains are barren with occasional patches of beautiful flowers in the early fall season. Glaciers are aplenty on this route, and offer close views of Glacier ranges, and snow capped mountains in stark difference to the barren mountain ranges and valleys you will encounter.
